Jerk Alert

Missouri license plate reports

Look up any Missouri plate on Jerk Alert to see the driving reports filed against it and its current Erk Score. Reports are submitted by drivers who saw the incident — a plate, a location, one of 25 fixed categories and a severity from 1 to 5. No owner lookup, and no way to find out who anyone is.

Letters and numbers only. A plate with no reports comes back clean — that is the common result, and it is not an error.

How to report a bad driver in Missouri

If it is happening now

Call 911. A driver who is an active danger to other people is a police matter, and no app is a substitute for that call. Do not follow the vehicle, and do not try to get closer to read the plate.

After the fact

Your local police department’s non-emergency line takes reports of dangerous driving that has already happened. What each agency will act on varies, and a report generally needs the plate, the location, the time, and what you saw.

The licensing agency in Missouri

Missouri restricts who may report. A stranger cannot file.

The route exists, but it is open only to people connected to the driver. If you saw a driver you do not know, Missouri gives you no official way to report them to the licensing agency.

What the agency can do

Reporting a driver in the moment

Missouri has a highway patrol line for dangerous driving as it happens: *55 (1-800-525-5555), Missouri State Highway Patrol.

This is not the licence-review route described above and it does not lead to one. It reaches a dispatcher who may send a trooper to a driver still on the road. Use it while the driving is happening, and 911 if there is an immediate danger.

Missouri is one of 18 of 51 US jurisdictions where a witness unrelated to the driver has no confirmed way to report them to the licensing agency. That gap is the reason Jerk Alert exists.

Some fields for Missouri are not yet confirmed against an official page, so they are left out here rather than guessed at. Last checked 10 August 2026.

Reporting it on Jerk Alert

Filing on Jerk Alert takes about ten seconds and does not replace contacting the authorities. Pick the plate and state, choose the location from the list, tap one of 25 categories, and set a severity from 1 to 5. There is nothing to type, so a report is a fact pattern rather than an account.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Jerk Alert is a record, not an emergency service, and the Terms prohibit following, approaching, or identifying another driver.

What an Erk Score means

An Erk Score is a plate’s running rating from 0.0 to 5.0, computed from the reports filed against it and weighted by whether the reporter is verified. Endorsements from other drivers are counted on the report itself and do not change the score. Deleted and hidden reports are excluded, so a score only reflects reports currently standing.

A plate with no reports has no score.
