I'll be honest — this one's personal. As a teenager, I drove like a bit of a jerk. I've always wished someone could have quietly, anonymously let my parents know what I was doing out on the road. Now I've got young kids of my own, and that worry hits a whole lot closer to home.
Driving has become more out of control than ever. But here's the thing that's also changed: dashcams are more ubiquitous than ever. A camera could be rolling at any moment — and we all need to realize that. The world is a lot smaller than it used to be, and what we do out there doesn't just disappear.
Jerk Alert is the heads-up we wished existed — a way for the crew to alert the jerk, stay safe, and maybe nudge someone toward being a little more excellent. We warn. We don't pile on.

What it deliberately isn't
- Not a comment section. A report is a plate, a place, preset reasons and a severity. There is no free text, no photo, no reply.
- Not a lookup service. Plates identify vehicles, not people. We hold no DMV or identity data and never will.
- Not a pile-on. Flag anything; three flags hide a report until a human reviews it within 5 business days. You can remove your own reports any time.
